John Russell (Partner)

John has six years private equity experience with Catalyst Investment Managers and Ironbridge.

John graduated from Monash University with a Commerce degree and a First Class Honours degree in Civil Engineering. He joined LEK Consulting and during his time with the firm advised clients in London, Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region on business strategy and mergers and acquisitions. John left LEK Consulting in 2001 to complete an MBA at the Harvard Business School.

In 2003 John returned to Sydney and joined Catalyst. While at Catalyst he was involved in B&D Door's $32m acquisition of ATA and the subsequent $255m sale of B&D to Alesco Corporation. John was also involved in the portfolio management of Serck Controls and led Catalyst's exit from that business.

Since joining Ironbridge in March 2006, John has led the firm's investments in iNova Pharmaceuticals and FleetPartners.
