Paul has 16 years of private equity experience with 3i, AMP, and Ironbridge.
After graduating from Cambridge University, Paul began his career in banking with Barclays PLC in the UK and moved into a career in private equity in 1992 with Baronsmead PLC. In 1994 he moved to a leading European private equity provider, 3i.
In 1995 Paul emigrated to Australia, joining AMP Private Equity as a Director, where he led and managed investments in some of Australia's leading management buyout and expansion capital transactions across a broad range of industries, including the acquisition of Melbourne Airport by APAC in 1997.
After six years at AMP, Paul left to join Gresham Private Equity in 2001 as a Director where he led the A$252 million buyout of car parts group Repco.
Paul co-founded Ironbridge in 2003 and has since played a leading role in the A$114 million buyout of leading fresh prepared salads business Mrs Crocket's Kitchen, the A$88 million buyout of specialist retail group BBQs Galore, the $450m MBO of iNova Pharmaceuticals from 3M Group and the take private of MediaWorks, the New Zealand TV and Radio broadcaster, the first completed public-to-private transaction in New Zealand.
Paul obtained a first class Honours degree in Modern Languages from Cambridge University.
